This system includes 500' of boundary wire. For yards requiring more wire, boundary kits are available. Each boundary kit includes 500' of wire, 50 training flags and wire splices. If you cover 1 acre, you will need 850' of wire, if you cover 2 acres, you will need 1200' of wire, if you cover 3 acres, you will need 1500' of wire, if you cover 4 acres, you will need 1700' of wire, or if you cover 5 acres, you will need 1900' of wire. These figures assume a rectangular layout. Actual footage may vary. Keep in mind that you will want at least a 6-8' signal field (3-4' on each side of the wire) and the dog will stay back another 2-4' from the edge of the field.
